Views From The 6 title was announced July 2014 and that multi-year buildup and wait helped it have the level of anticipation it ended up having. Was that title announcement not part of the rollout? There were definitely multiple phases for both VIEWS and ICEMAN
99% chance the album will leak if he does first week physicals
Guys, it’s entirely possible to have physicals nowadays without your album leaking first. Tons of high-profile artists do it
they call it Dr Lee PhD rizz

Ehh, I don’t think you can say a separate EP is a rollout for an album that comes out two years later
And we saw Kendrick cry to LA. They all care. But we weren’t talking about going number 1 on a song so nice deflection there
Wasn’t that like 15 years ago? We are talking about today, it means even less compared to back then, when’s the last time Kendrick mentioned sales at all since then? Genuinely?

That wasn't Kendrick that was top

Kendrick definitely cares about sales but he doesn’t prioritize them. You don’t plan out a year-long stadium tour without expecting your album to do numbers

this doesn’t happen anymore

I’m talking about that first week number, if he cared that much, NLU would’ve been on GNX and all the physicals would’ve shipped first week
Of course they care about success in general, but after a certain time in your career, other things are probably way more fulfilling than first week sales
this doesn’t happen anymore
It happens sometimes nowadays, but it’s VERY rare. But yeah some people still think we in 2005 lmao
From Kendrick’s twitter?
Yes. He talked about it with Big Boy when DAMN. came out

Yeah that’s why I said he doesn’t prioritize them. But he definitely cares to some extent
LA we got work to do

And I think caring about your business makes tons of sense, it’s the fans who use them to belittle other artists that make it weird
damn nobody doing Room for Improvement lol
papiconda leak is after every album tho
they aint day 1s if they aint doin Room for Improvement and i stand on that

Pre-Release. Singles. Sales. Don't. Count. For. Billboard. First. Week. Numbers.
I really don't know how this is still a misconception. Including NLU on GNX would've made it eligible for RIAA certs faster (Platinum, 2x Platinum, etc.) but the only sales from NLU rolled into Billboard 200 first week sales numbers would've been from the release week
