Drake will chart, for sure. But I don’t think that’ll bring hip hop in general back to the charts. It’ll be self contained success for 1 artist while the rest of the genre doesn’t get featured just like GNX was. Theres bigger factors keeping hip hop off the charts that no one artist is going to change

you have to understand, there is no artist that when they drop it is a moment in rap. like yes gnx was a surprise and he got his stadium tour and s***. but now its gone. drake adds upcoming artist and then those artist take advantage of the hype and make more hits off that. drake might not completely change the game, but i promise he is going to motivate others to make the best s*** possible and build hype for it.

You’re so right. Views felt like everyone was going through something monumental that spring too. That was my graduating year and Prom was literally just the DJ running the album back.

$$$ dropped when I was with my girl in Mexico City and we both loved it so much. I married her last month and whenever $$$ comes on it’s such a great feeling to reminisce that night.

There’s just things you can’t quantify with Drake’s music. I feel bad for anyone who can’t enjoy a Drizzy album.
