One thing to note is that the next 1-2 weeks is going to be super interesting and maybe even explosive in many ways. Joe Budden's team is subscribed to both the OVO community on Twitter, Drake's subreddit and even here they pree our s***. It's been documented how many times they pull s*** from all three sources. The more buzz about independent route, the likelihood %+ of Joe Budden talking about Drake going independent. 1 million people at the end of the day subscribed to that podcast and if its a Drake subject, it regularly grosses 600k-900K views. There's going to be a ALOT OF focus and attention moving forward in the next few weeks questioning whether Drake is going independent. We should get an answer sometime soon IMO. Unless UMG quietly closes a massive deal and everything is fine.. something should break out soon.

There’s rumors (or it’s confirmed idk) that his deal with UMG was a certain # of albums, it would make sense as to why we’ve been getting fed so well the last numbers of years with albums.

He could only have one more album to drop under UMG and he wants to get that off ASAP.

If the rumors are true that he’s going independent, I bet he has to give UMG one more album and Idt it’ll be the collab album which would make the collab album with a long time friend of his the first album as an independent artist.

They probably didn’t expect him to work this hard and they probably didn’t put a limit on how quick these albums can come out

it's probably a 4-5 year deal for 400M, between the releases, his catalogue streaming numbers, merch, and touring he's easily cleared the return on that deal by now lol

i aint gonna lie, y'all gon crucify me but i feel like FATD was a bit rushed. some parts of that album felt 'lazy' to me where drake could've definitely made that song/concept much much much better and Drake caliber if he put more time and thought into it.
