This is cope. There are plenty of pop artists who takes years between releases who don’t have anywhere near the same level of commercial success with singles that Bruno Mars does.

No one's downplaying his success. I'm stating when a superstar drops a small album, it's easier for a song (or two) to get all of the buzz because the fanbase has way less music to "focus" their listening on. Especially if the rest of the album is boring, like Bruno's album

This is exactly why Taylor struggles getting megahits, idk how anyone can possibly disagree with this. Her fanbase constantly get a bomb of 30+ songs to listen to

Honestly every superstar popstar has huge buzz w/ their new single after coming back from a few year hiatus, as long as the single is released separately before the album. This isn't really anything new... Olivia Rodrigo is about to drop a single that'll probably do even better than Bruno's.
