With this war, and these other album releases… this is over, can’t believe how long he been dragging this.
Overall just bad luck

Thankfully he didn’t call the album warman
“With this war..”

Right? When has drake ever cared about dying children? Didn’t he drop no new friends an hour after the Boston marathon bombing. With the flex bombs
It's a dumb critique of any artist that's been around this long. They all rap/sing about the same s***.
tell this to the guy thats scared of replying to niggas

American Gangster didn't drop until 07
party life from AG is better than any song on 444
I could fall asleep to American Ganster. i just peeped it again and its so boring lol. I don't love 4:44 anymore but Caught My Eyes, Smile, and Marcy Me are so much more interesting than anything on AG. Sometimes it feels like jay is just not saying anything on his old albums
I think my perception of Jay's discog is ruined because i listened to illmatic and It Was Written first before checking out Jay's "classics". Felt like i went from some of the best soulful and lyrical New York rapping ever with street imagery to nice monotone rapping on great production. Its forever made Jay feel like watered down commercialized Nas even if its unfair

Classics in quotes?
As a Hov stan I won’t derail the thread with my rankings, but AG is not in the top 5. Good album, but no.

Classics in quotes?
cuz calling them classics feels so wrong when i fall asleep listening to most of them lol. The Black Album is an exception because its legit 10/10. The Blueprint is also amazing
It’s probably 6 for me actually. Reasonable Doubt, BP1, Vol 1 & 2 then The Black Album in some order.
Sandra’s Rose is such a great track
Can never convince me that Scorpion is a bad album
