drake stays young by keeping his ears to the street. it’s public by who he consigns on his various radio shows or who he gets to produce for him. That’s his everlasting talent. you think Dot has people around him who know who glokk40spaz is or Pz????

    He probably does

I think Kendrick responds to FPS but maybe not on a future x metro song

True and even then it’s likely he might’ve not even responded unless he had an album ready at the time. It was just the perfect opportunity to get his s*** off

    I can’t listen to awards.

I listen with my ears to music.

They were talking about how it was received IRL

Obviously it wasn't received too badly

People listened to it a lot. A record breaking amount

Cause ken Carson and lone were underground in 2021 and 2022… the fact you point to them as current examples of what young people consider underground is just further proving my point.

how can i expect a 50 year old man to appreciate Calling For You or 7969 santa. i don’t expect you to

I pointed to them because they are in a much younger generation than me, I wasn’t looking for the youngest

Drake isn’t, and constantly trying to fit in as a 40 year old is embarrassing

Sign a protege and pass them the rock, don’t try to BE them

And I love Teezo on 7969 Santa, you don’t need to be 21 to like that song

Numbers do not mean an album was received well

Ok the numbers aren’t be all end all. I’ve seen plenty of discourse surrounding the album actually being a classic in hindsight for some. I don’t agree that it’s a classic.. but it’s not bad and it performed very well. I would say it was overall received pretty well with time.

Drake re-couping on his label deal has nothing to do with what I want to LISTEN to.

I’ve seen you bring up antonoff a few times but the reason Kendrick works with him is because he has a producer group with sounwave. Has nothing to do with Taylor. And does him producing for Taylor mean he can’t do other types of music? Stupid point all around.

Especially when Drake is the one between them to put down his fellow rappers to big up Taylor. Even called her a nigga

You only see CLB being a classic in Drake heavy spaces not in rap spaces let’s be real here
