After the cole announcment I hope Drake steps back take 6-12 months and re-do the album. We dont need another 5.5/10 Drake album. We need him to deliver a classic

no weeknd's good with concept albums, i had misread what Fader said and was saying that i don't care about concept albums personally due to their looseness compared to other avenues of storytelling.

A lot of people expected him to bounce back easily with a mega hit or two, and the complete opposite happened
I think the 100 GIGS songs flopping hurt his confidence pretty hard shortly after the beef was over
No Face isn't bad but in my opinion he released this song way too early. He should've simply taken a break in 2024
What Did I Miss? never felt authentic because he was never really gone but still tried to tell us "oh, I was gone, did I miss something?"
Which One was whatever and flopped and people already tapped out of the promo when he dropped DOG HOUSE

I think the 100 GIGS songs flopping hurt his confidence pretty hard shortly after the beef was over
No Face isn't bad but in my opinion he released this song way too early. He should've simply taken a break in 2024

Correct. He’s still chasing youth in some of the themes too. Like…he still think he really has a pulse on the current wave.
This method is what has kept Drake relevant other the years though, he wouldn't still be here if he didn't ride trends. People say they don't like it but it streams and charts well so he sticks by it. I feel Iceman rollout was the first time Drake realised this method has been mostly patched - likely because Kendrick pulled back the curtain on it.

I hated on Cole after the beef but can't anymore because at the high school I taught at some of my students liked him and tried talking to me about the song. whenever i say something snarky about him i think of them.
his music has grown on me too. Ideally he just doesn't acknowledge it anymore and i enjoy the music

Albums matter because it is a complete thought for a musician. You can communicate more to an audience in 40 minutes than you can in 3. Albums take the listener on a journey in a way that single songs cannot. That’s why the album experience still matters.
An album that is comprised of random songs that lack cohesion is essentially the same as a film comprised of two hours of random scenes that have no correlation to each other whatsoever, or a television season where each episode is entirely different from one another.
An album is to a song what a novel is to a chapter, what a film is to a scene, and what a television season is to an episode.

I think it's obvious that he wanted to drop in October but the songs flopped and Taylor Swift released her another scam project ruined his plans
