Views is a classic though
ofc it is, but at the time me being a newly conscious creative meant that i couldnt appreciate what was in front of me because i was thinking of all that could have been. once i started making my own art, i was fulfilled enough to not look for what i woulda wanted to do if i was drake because i did what i wanted to do as my own artist. After that i was able to appreciate drakes music way more being that i could properly contextualize him as an artist that makes his own vision and product, and not a deity that i live creatively though. i personally emphasize with drake as an artist after realizing how crazy his career must have been. and even though i cringe every now and then when i hear him talk about a young girl or rap on a lil yachty beat but i always remember this nigga is probably traumatized from the act of trying to please a public that was never truly fair with him. am i rationalizing what you all would say is Medicare music? many of you will probably say yes but i think im just being realistic. making art is extremely hard, and what drake has been able to do over these years i cant help but think i should appreciate this now before its all over. cause god knows this niggas discography is gonna age well
and look, ill be in here complaining soon, but let the nigga drop at least. all of this talking in circles is meaningless, some dumbass nigga was talking about if drake was with a black girl. bro that is fan fic at this point, take a break.
What would they do all day if they stopped posting 24/7 in here?
I'd love to see how many posts they've made in the past 18 months
They are there when I open a thread on my way to work in the morning, I come back home and they are still there, and I go to sleep and they are still there - rinse and repeat lmao. Sounds unhealthy
Views is a classic though
Views is not widely regarded as a classic album. It’s just not. Only to die hard Drake fans which is fine. But it is held in higher regard today by yall since it came out because of what he’s released since.
did you listen to Drake's album with PND? i think it really hit the spot in describing a toxic relationship. TSU was also relatable if you've ever fw a stripper.
there has always been a gap that's prevented me from making an emotional connection with Drake's music, it's always felt slightly insincere. but it sounds so good i can overlook it.
Most people that live and work regular 9-5s arent dating strippers bro
We tolerated Drakes’s weaker-than-bryson-tillers singing voice because he was also an entertaining RAPPER.
WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME HE HAD AN ELITE RAP PERFORMANCE?

He's gotta change the name of this thing lol
Cold Hearted would actually be a dope alternative title.

Speak for yourself pal
Drake really da first bi-genre artist
He ain’t good enough for da rnb he ain’t rap enough for the rap
Notice how Tommy and the crew only get mad at people who “post all day” when it’s things they disagree with
But when it’s schizo posting from nypd officers and soprano gifs they don’t say a word
It’s a damn forum, people are here to post, if you don’t like to see people post, a forum is not a place you should be coming to

Fader, The Old Man, banned users on alts stay camped in this thread spamming the same bullshit every day. I really feel bad for some people man, how miserable a life do u gotta be living to ruin an album thread (an album of an artist u claim that u dont care about anymore)
probably less miserable than someone who would enter an RIP thread to say “who?”

which is strange considering Chris Brown was good enough for R&B AND good enough for rap (to the mainstream)

Child’s play is one of the best songs ever made man you niggas just don’t like the song
This a place for families that drive Camry’s and go to DISNEY
I feel like every drake project this decade has been delayed and then dropped and then ended up being mid and forgotten next year so iceman will probably do no better or worse
A general question for everyone in here. What is Drake's last classic project, for each of you? For me, it's IYRTITL. I feel like his most recent great, top to bottom project was Her Loss.
