It’s the fact that the feature is capping off what’s been a very weak second half of 2025 for him, and that it’s yet another part of this lead-up to Iceman that has been subpar

Blue ManYou’re letting the haters get to you. Drake couldn’t drop a mid album even if he tried. They’ve all aged well over time and until that changes, he’ll always get the benefit of the doubt
It seems like you're mistaking mid for trash.
A mid album can still have dope songs in it. It's more so a function of sequencing and how well it flows as a full project or how enjoyable it is front to back.
If people have to resort to playlisting different songs on the album out of order for more enjoyment, it's likely mid and bloated or has poor sequencing.
A trash album is an album with mostly bad songs. I don't think Drake dropped a trash album yet. But I def feel he has some mid undoubtedly. All of Taylor Swift's albums chart for a long time too. That doesn't mean she's incapable of mid lol.
