I mean, yeah, he did say that but that was for Her Loss. This is totally different. Her album hasn't been a threat on the charts for weeks now. If Drake was really ready to drop, he could have dropped in late October and would have been fine. The album doesn't seem to be ready yet. Maybe it's currently being mixed, maybe he's still recording some final songs for it. Either way, s*** doesn't seem to be done and at this rate, my guess is it drops next year because it'd be unwise dropping any new music now that isn't Christmas-themed.

It'd also give him enough time to properly plan the rollout and release of the album (if he still cares about s*** like that).
