Kendrick fans act the general consensus about his Superbowl Halftime performance wasn't that it was mediocre. It wasn't just Drake stans saying that — it was the general public. The biggest moment from the whole performance was the fact that he performed Not Like Us — again, bringing back another major career moment for Kendrick and tying it to Drake so that it means something.

And I like GNX as much as the next person but that album was touted as the album that would finally establish Kendrick as the #1 guy in the game, yet, less than 9 months into its release (and that's after it already got a massive boost for almost 3 months following his halftime performance), its already down to being outsold by Take Care and $$$4U. I don't know why it's so wrong for people to point that out.

because the whole point of this is for them to have someone take drake's spot. they would have to admit that all this 20v1 was for nothing. they put all this capital behind drake's closest competition, gave him the Superbowl stage, grammys and a year later, drake is still on top. if they admit they failed, they would have to acknowledge drakes greatness which they'll never do
