I’m wondering why music is always treated differently than other forms of art. You hear about movies dropping a year in advance. You don’t get a trailer until 6 month in advance. Then the movie drops & everybody goes to see it. For some reason if you hear about an album, it’s supposed to drop the next week or all momentum is lost.
Movies and music are different in their form, you can essentially always be listening to music, but you can't always watch a movie fully locked in. I think music is just more "instant gratification-y" so people move on faster
But I'd argue the same fatigue can happen with movies too when they are long-removed from an announcement or trailer, I think people just have more grace for big visual productions that "look" more complex than the extremely carefully produced and crafted music they hear all the time
who's "the people" and why does he need their goodwill
The people are the general public and culture who watched him lose arguably the biggest conflict in hip-hop history, watched him file a lawsuit in defeat, heard NLU on the radio every day for like a year then at the Super Bowl, and watched him respond to it all a year later (right when everyone started to forget about it) by making weird live streams with mid music and Pinocchio puppets playing with ice cubes
As for why he needs their goodwill, staying on top isn’t sustainable relying on Stan’s alone and I think the performance of his recent records shows that

lol you're so lost. he doesn't need to do s***. once he drops the album, he'll outsell everyone in rap like he always does. you're living a different reality
He didn't even say the album will be good, nigga went straight to sales

Well a lot of us care about the actual album, not just the sales.

he was talking about drake needs to win "the people" over. only reason he would need to do that is if his sales are bad

Rushing an album to interfere with an album that doesn't even exist is hilarious

Never seen dawg have a good tweet. S*** either be misinformation or embarrassing ass cope
Exactly. He wants an album that’s gonna dominate the summer. Only way you get that is by dropping in Spring or very early Summer. That’s the only reason I’ve been saying 2026 all year
Should’ve dropped in July
Episode 4 should spark some hype again, especially if we get an idea of the release date
“Soon”
I mean if that was the case what getback are these episodes actually providing lol? Like how do these equate to an L for any of his opps?
“Soon”
Episode 4 in L.A would be hilarious
