we JUST got a classic album in $$$ five months ago have some patience you ungrateful f***s
fumble this, rollout that like relax
It was a collab rnb album.
We want a rap drake album without a chaotic crazy rollout
I don't think the complaints are that fans are unappreciative of the music he has dropped so far. And yes, you could argue that fans should be used to his antics by now but that's also neither here nor there tbh.
Personally, I'd say that I believe he's been working on the album for at least 6 months (likely more) and he's in a good place with it right now but he still doesn't feel like it's quite where it needs to be and so he's taking his time to get there. Look, he doesn't need to drop any new music anytime soon. $$$4U is a classic and has great music on it and it's still in my daily rotation. WDIM is also a slapper. I'd already said several weeks ago that I don't see him dropping an album till he's done with this tour and that I see the album dropping in October, likely on his birthday since it falls on a Friday this year so I'm really good with the music coming whenever.
I think fans are just done with the inconsistent rollouts and prefer it when he announces and promptly drops his albums because we all understand that a good album will essentially sell itself.
CLB and For All the Dogs both had the potential to have great rollouts but Drake's lack of planning and indecisiveness led to them being fumbled and their releases were butchered with CLB dropping late and many songs not being mixed properly upon release. Same thing happened with For All the Dogs. These are all things that could have been avoided btw. Yes, Her Loss, Honestly, Nevermind and $$$4U didn't have those issues but now, for the new album era, he's started a rollout with the Iceman episode s*** and has seemingly abandoned it already because the man is on tour with a hectic schedule and simply won't have the time to continue what he started with the first episode so now, we have yet another abandoned rollout with him going on stage every night telling fans how he's working on the album and how it's almost done, teasing multiple songs but not dropping them, building unnecessary hype for an album we're all already anticipating anyways. He did similar things for CLB and For All the Dogs and despite them being good albums, they both ended up being nowhere as great as he consistently insisted they'd be. I don't know how he doesn't learn from and retire these silly antics or why he feels he needs to continue with them. He'll do the right thing with one project and then jump right back to this s***. I'll never understand it.
We thinking monthly episodes?
He has a very tough tour schedule and will be performing 5 days a week for the next few weeks. I wouldn't expect any more episodes for a while tbh, if at all. My bet is on it being another abandoned rollout, similar to what happened with CLB and For All the Dogs.
Roll out might not be abandoned. This tour might just be a part of it lol, he'll end up getting a ton of footage that he can use. Wireless took things to another level for this brudda

Do we even know what the rollout is? You think he'll find several other ice factories and measure out blocks out ice before driving around in trucks all around Europe?

Nah but him watching footage of his early days said to me that part 2 might also have him reflecting on the following era which I assume will either be those days where he was trying to write for Dre or the initial working/signing to YM, each episode after that has some kind of a reflection on an era until we get to this Iceman era and the album drop
That's how I'd have storyboarded it based on what we saw in the episode 1

You're assuming Drake thinks that deeply about s*** like this. He's usually very lazy when it comes to rollouts.
I'll be genuinely shocked if we get any more Iceman episodes.
