I think that's half true. It being NLU has a lot to do with it imo

It really isn't, the licensing fee reduction, the payola, the push during negotiations are the core issues.
NLU was a tool in that scheme.
The harm comes from the inflation due to the above in an effort to lower value.

    If true.

    To give a simple take

Drake engaged in a rap battle that risks incurred harm right.

However that's not the harm Drake is pointing to in these petitions.

Hes pointing at UMG + Others at seizing that level of harm Drake risked, then inflating and expanding that harm as broadly as possible while doing that through illegal means all in an effort to change Drake's negotiating power, benefitting UMG multiple times over.

sab come on man i know you at least have the reading comprehension of a 15 year old

    lemme get the timeline straight

2011-2012: Drake & Kendrick are cool, even tour together
2013: Kendrick drops Control, calling out a dozen rappers, and Drake takes it more personally than anyone else involved
2014-2023: tons of subliminals back & forth, mostly from Drake
    2024:

    • Kendrick directly disses Drake, kicking off the Beef™
    • Drake disses Kendrick back, dares Kendrick to call him a pedo
    • Kendrick disses Drake back, warning him he will if Drake lies about him
    • Drake disses Kendrick back, lying about Kendrick abusing his wife & raising another man’s child
    • Kendrick disses Drake back, calling him a pedo
    • Drake concedes, saying he knew Kendrick would call him a pedo
    • Drake sues UMG because Kendrick called him a pedo

it's not about "too scared" or anything like that - y'all gotta stop viewing this as just a rap battle where two honorable rappers go at each other just for the love for the craft lol

this is all about achieving results at all costs, brute-forcing them with all means throughout multiple major entities. calling him a pedo was the entire point of this s***, the other tracks are whatever
