Oh, for sure. But as a Drake Stan, I'm not even bothering to listen to that "culture" merchant over there at this point, and that's the difference. I'm capable of being fair to the music if I actually listened, but his behavior this year put him on my s*** list to where I don't even wanna engage with the artistry anymore. He's "Please don't play that nigga songs in this party, I can't even listen to that" status now. If they had both literally just kept it rap during this entire ordeal, I'd be able to maintain my status before the beef, which was being fans of both of them.

While things went low on both sides, the Kendrick bias went overboard in the public arena, so it's on me to balance that out by not giving Kendrick the time of day. He can make great music still and do all of the numbers he wants; it's f*** him until further notice, and that's just how I feel. Plus, winning on the back of unfounded pedo accusations has consequences, and those consequences are me not listening to you anymore. I can admit my bias in that I should feel the same way about Drake pinning domestic abuse on Kendrick, but I saw the public overwhelmingly sweep that s*** under the rug without any real consideration for the sake of securing a Kendrick win, so it is what it is.

This is exactly it. If you’re a fan of HIP HOP you know none of these niggas are bigger than the whole thing. Of course I get we all have our biases and are welcomed to have our own opinions but people literally refusing to listen to Kendrick (or Drake) because of something that literally did not involve you is insane to me

This is exactly it. If you’re a fan of HIP HOP you know none of these niggas are bigger than the whole thing. Kendrick exposed himself to me as a distasteful, disingenuous person this year. Everyone has different limits as far as that goes, and some people even do the whole separation between art and artist thing, so I don't expect agreement in that regard, but that's just where I stand. That overrules the music for me.
