Stories about my brother is such a goated song. It may be my personal favorite from Drake this decade.
Tbh, I wish it never happened. I already music discourse is terrible but this beef made s*** so much worse
Yo Ron, do you watch or read any reviews about an album after it drops? I think once certain critics got enough power people would change their opinion based off whatever the critic was saying.
I think that's one of the reasons why music discourse is so terrible. People will just repeat what that critic said and not really connect why the critic said it. I think that's true for a lot of art mediums but music is easily more digestible because of streaming so you get way more people chiming in on an album review.
Just curious what your thoughts are.

It would be hard to find a number one but rn I think Do Not Disturb, I Guess It's F*** Me, and it might be recency bias but Family Matters.

I don't know about Drake but I been saying lotta chatter about Dot dropping something on Black Friday. I doubt it I think he's gonna drop some s*** near the Superbowl and kick start ticket sales, tour promos, album promos. Maybe Kendrick drops a song. As far as Drake and PND go, no idea but considering the frequency of posts / stories relating to this collab project, I assumed Drake was suggesting it would drop this month. But then again, Drake's never stuck with a time frame for almost 12 years now.

It's impressive that he's been in the industry for this long and his next moves are always unpredictable. But holy s*** as a fan can it be frustrating af.
It doesn't help either he'll say something like "see you boys soon" and 3 months later we're not even sure if that's going to happen anymore.

Tbh, in college I used to have a review blog and never read anyone else's because I didn't want to plagiarize. Back then artists didn't have as many outlets as they do but but did a better job of packaging music and the eras the music was made in.
I agree with you on the streaming changing the landscape of how we consume music, and now the celebrity of streamers/reviewers/Personalities have created more splintered factions
The way we talk about music now so f***ed, too many people are concerned about what everybody likes. One thing I used to say was that the Internet made the world flat and there are too many people that lived their lives online
