    WINTER

i've stanned the guy for years
but eventually he will have to grow up and find a deeper way of living whether thats a family, mature dad raps album or going into acting or something

he has the money the fame the wealth the cars the experiences i think he is capable of a less shallow existence like constant gambling and spending it on hoes like mirna

    thats just my thoughts

Nigga, please. This is where y'all need to stop and step the f*** back. None of us have any right to police the way that man lives his life or how he chooses to make his money. He isn't doing anything illegal or immoral so stop it with the virtue signaling.

he is never going back into acting

he will always make the music he feels he wants to make instead of choosing a boring concept such as suddenly maturing (a play that hasn't worked for anybody yet)

i'm not saying that you cannot criticize him for the gambling stuff but also that s*** is becoming more mainstream anyway and him doing it or not will have zero impact on that development

and now that he is accused of being a parasite with no morals anyway.. why even give a s***

Nigga, hush. You think anything changes if Drake doesn't have his deal with Stake? What do you think is more impactful, Drake promoting Stake or literally every sports league in the US and around the world promoting betting? Not to mention damn near every noteworthy podcast having a betting or gambling site as a sponsor which they promote in every episode?

Drake is not the problem and him not promoting Stake isn't a solution. If you have a personal issue with gambling, that's fine but just like smoking and alcohol have destroyed people's lives and yet they haven't been banned because there's a massive demand and billions of dollars are being made from them, betting and gambling is here to stay. The only difference is that now it's commercialized.

If you don't wanna ruin your life, maybe don't gamble away the little money you have. Same way you can simply not drink and do d**** and you won't ruin your life with an addiction you can't get a handle on. Also should be noted that even if these things were illegal, people who wanted to engage in them would find a way to do so.

This sudden criticism for him to "grow up" is stupid and baseless. Dude is a responsible, tax-paying citizen who looks after his friends and family and has put everyone around him in positions to succeed, has built multiple businesses and brands and remains dedicated to his craft as a musician.

He isn't out here with 20 baby mamas and being arrested for driving drunk or doing d**** or owning an illegal weapon or other irresponsible s***.

They want Drake's life to reflect the boring normalcy of their own lives and they're upset that he refuses to give them that. You'd think they'd have come to terms with that by now but apparently not.

Gambling is being pushed to the mainstream by the powers that be and no one can stop it because there's a lot of money to be made.

It's on the people who go out of their way to engage in that behavior that should be aware of the risks involved.

I want better for the guy, he still gonna be posting stake bets in 20 years and singing about how some 25 year old blocked him and she's gonna be like yeah he hasn't been arrested for driving drunk its good

just another consequence of dude living under the magnifying glass for over a decade and people weaponizing morality to get at folks without any regard for the context of their actions which is their life

the online gambling s*** went into overdrive before Stake even existed, mainly on twitch until it's been eventually banned and continued to prosper on alternative platforms like Kick or whatever.

to me, disliking him promoting this s*** is one thing - but to open that box of him supposedly causing a significant enough increase in gambling and hurting people is wild

i think the whole discussion is whatever anyway because

    • gambling will stay and grow regardless of drake, just like before his involvement with stake
    • there is zero indication what his next major project will sound like aside from the PND project

(and tbh if all the morally righteous online people try to normalize calling me a pedo, you can bet your ass i give even less of a f*** what they have to say )

I'll never understand policing how someone decides to live their life. Drake has a great relationship with his son and the mother of his child. He's kept the same friends. He seems closer to his parents now than ever before. He's got a good head for business and by every indication, is a good person. But no, he drinks and smokes, gambles and f***s women and now you have people trying to insist he shouldn't do any of those things because "they want better for him." Mental illness, I tell you.

    he can cut the braids
negotiate the end of his contract with stake
    stop going outside
    stop being so visible
    stop drinking too heavy
    date some random chick
    focus on making "mature music"

NONE of it would stop the growth of gambling. and NONE of it would actually matter to people who criticize him and literally request (!) him to do those changes. most people from that ilk will give him his flowers either when he is on the decline or dead - if they ever feel like it

it's just a nonsense discussion that mostly exists online
