Another thing to add too. Kenny making pre-recorded tracks all while telling lies has ruined rap beef as well.

Next big rap beef (if there is one) will just be a bukkake of diss tracks released one after the other filled with a bunch of bullshit and nobody responding to anything.

Some of the best parts about diss tracks are the bar flips. Just not to have that feels like you're missing a huge part of what makes diss tracks so fun.

i think artists (hip hop) now look at rap beefs totally different. it used to be about who had the best pen. then shock value. then some gossip s***. but now its practically who can leverage media platforms to propagate their message (which is typically all big lies) the best. Drake didn't stand a chance b/c Drake doesn't give a f*** about this s*** in terms of spending his own money and all that. Look at the way he even does his own roll outs for projects. Yea we had somewhat of a source in Mal/Ak because Drake talked to them but aside from that, Kendrick had NFR/Kurroco and TDE//Pg had all the big magazines in their pockets and these niggas was botting the s*** out of Kendrick's views and also disliking everything Drake was doing. Then boom, soon as Drake wanted to really turn s*** up with THP6 they waived the white flag and pretended Drake did. That's the new play. Whoever can win the media play wins the beef. Sad b/c Drake absolutely DESTROYED Kendrick if we talking about da pen. That Cartier pen ain't ever lost.
