Hey, isn't this the guy that left his long term wife and college sweetheart for an only fans model?
Real talk, f*** that bald c*** and the toxic music listening culture he's promoted for life.
I know he got a divorce. I don't know anything about him leaving her for an OF model tho.

I never see anyone mentioning the fact Drake really went to one of Kendrick's shows in Toronto in 2023 and they probably talked there
"backstage in my city it was friendzone"
It is known
why on earth would they use another Kendrick song when this song was the biggest of the year. lets be smart here
regardless of the beef element, that song did unite the entire west coast. dodgers using it is just simply saying our opponents arenβt like us. its that simple
you might be too invested
My frustrations are with this song clearly being about hate, all of a sudden became about unity and love. Especially with the lyrical context. It feels disingenuous when Kenny was given a chance for unity with Drake and Cole, and he decided to diss them instead.
Skipping over all the Dre stuff at the Pop Out, Kenny rarely or if ever working with any of those people on stage, and the fake "unity" picture NLU just feels so fabricated and forced. That song is aging terribly now, too, with everything that has happened post beef.
I get the saying "Not like us" has a completely different meaning than the song, but because that song exists, that saying is always going to be associated with it.
I know someone is thinking, "It's not that deep," but apparently, we can call someone a pedo that doesn't have any truth about it and get praised for it. Apparently we can also completely flip the context of the song and say it's about love and unity when the artist who created that song doesn't believe in any of those things unless it benefits him in some way.
It just sets a bad precedent.

i dont think its aging bad for people who are casual listeners. i just worked a hs homecoming tailgate between two rival schools (mainly alumni) and they had branded merch that said βthey not like usβ. most casual listeners do not care nor do they know the details of the s*** thats discussed on this forum. it sounds good, makes people groove and thats all they care about
not saying youβre inherently wrong about what you said but most people wont care as long as it sounds good
something pretty damaging would have to come out about Kendrick for people to let that song go
Kendrick just opened his mouth, someone go hand em a Grammy right now..

I guess that's also where my frustrations are as well. People not really seeing the hypocrisy of the song or Kendrick in general. That's not anyone's fault, and I don't expect casual listeners to see that but it's still frustrating.
Especially when Drake hate gets posted all the time on socials and other media even when it's not true. Causing those casual listeners to see way more Drake hate than they do Kendrick hate.
I had some friends believe Drake was performing NLU at his concerts because of those fake Tik-Toks, and they didn't care at all about the beef.
I know we're getting off topic now, but yeah. Just never felt right that NLU got as big as it did because it felt like one side clearly had an agenda and then flipped the script when the song became as big as it did because they were trying to separate Drake from it's success.
You had a song for four years, drop that s*** or shut your mouth. π
