I read through the comment replies for that but there was a few people on Twitter who said months ago Drake's basically flying through his requirements for a specific reason. The tours, the projects. Budden also talked about it a month-ish ago.
IMO, it makes sense. Only b/c Drake often has talked about contract situations in a slick way and given clues of what's about to come. He said on FM that $400m nowadays is a lowball. We have to wait but I do think he can net a $700m contract.
Meta/UMG is kind of like NBA/Amazon/TV Deals. Lots of new $ pumped in and Drake's not stupid, he's shrewd asf and already saw it coming.

You guys think this year might hurt his ability to close a deal though?
Losing the beef showed that the “invincible” man can be touched and also his record since the beef hasn’t been great.
Obviously I believe Drake will be right back to where he was but do you think a record label is willing to bet 700 million on him this late in his career with the hits he has taken?
