It's not spotify pushing it necessarily, it's UMG getting placement on spotify. Hence the beef with UMG. There's no incentive for spotify to push one song over another unless they're getting paid $$$.

Drake. I know he had an issue with them not acknowledging him breaking records & additional compensation when he does. Spotify’s Creative Director was in Ak’s stream bigging up Kendrick during the beef & I think he had billboards put up. I’m sure it just looks funny to Drake.
