If botting a song to record breaking numbers was so easy, wouldn’t labels be doing it with pop artists that are way more profitable to them? Billie and Dua are gigantic, they both had biggish album but not really any big hits from them. Why would any pop or major label song ever flop if you can just bot and have the biggest song of the year

I think that the DSPs have probably cracked down on the methods that it’s really only shady, random people that have methods to do it, and those labels probably don’t really reach out to do so

Though I also think the botting thing is a bit over exaggerated and it really boils down to Spotify pushing songs harder into their play listing than others if they have good relationships w labels or artists. I don’t mink it’s as common on AM
