should've just called this THE BUREAUCRAT like its production title is, and been open about it being inspired/based on Possession, and have Żuławski credited along with Parker or something. Soooo much baggage and eye rolling coming this movies way before we've even seen a frame of it. Horror fans are gonna validly scoff at it and it isn't like it even has the IP/brand visibility thats gonna boost excitement. this thing could be a really great modern horror but the name is instantly working against it. it cheapens the entire thing. the original feels like it was made by an insane person, parker can get mean and bleak but he doesnt have that in him. idk if any modern horror director does
