RiP to that mans family but @dirtgirlworld is saying everything that needs to be said. It’s deeper than rap. Probably should of let the thread digest before coming in direct and vulgar but the message gotta get heard
that’s so messed up. rip
You been making sound points the whole thread. Every one of these threads has a poster like yourself, and everybody jumps down their throat and condemns the poster so they can pretend to be shocked and continue dancing around the subject. They’ll say things like “now isn’t the time” but there’s never a time that they want to have a meaningful discussion about it. They’ll deflect and accuse you of attacking the rapper even though you never did. It boils down to people not wanting to change or take accountability because they’re too far removed from the negative culture theyre supporting to really care
Exactly, 99% of ktt don’t know what bro is talking about and why it’s true. They just wanna get their rips off and dance around the point.
They didn’t grow up around it or lost people to it they just listen to their favorite rapper talk about it and think s*** is sweet. F*** all that
if you don't see why its an issue then get out your sensitive ass feelings and open your eyes to why there's a greater underlying problem with fetishizing this lifestyle
theyre clowning you but you arent wrong
this just aint the time and place for this
Damn that sounds like a mexican cartel type hit, crazy.
There is definitely a big problem here, but I'm not sure if the music should take the full blame. Violence/guns are prevalent in video-games/media too, and they don't result in as many deaths in their respective communities
The most destructive parts of Hip hop music culture serves at as a catalyst. All variables work in concert to birth the beast you’re dealing with. It’s never one sole factor. The poverty, mental/emotional instability - that creates the mania (rage, depression, sociopathic traits) within our youth (12-16) cultivates and displays itself in young adulthood (17-28) as unbridled violence. the repetitious music unconsciously brings out their darkest impulses to reality and those most affected by the mania perpetrate the darkest s*** like this.

I disagree.. when Emmett Till die, we just didn’t go to his funeral say our cute lil condolences and RIP, condemn the murders and leave waiting for a perfect time 4 a call to action. the amount of police reforms nearly TRIPLED after what we all seen from George’s death. Some thought that showing Till’s battered face was too morbid and woul ‘scare’ ppl away from the topic, but that picture and the spark of ACTION and accountability demanded in the of conversation, sharing of ideas and eventual reform leads to CHANGE.
Holy f*** this is 10x worse, thats some horrific s***
No bullshit thats f***ing evil
Id rather get killed than have someone kill my grandparents and make me watch
Wtf, rip his grandparents
S*** like this be having a real visceral effect on me. I love my ppl. I love our communities and this is the reality of my family members. s*** brings on a sense of helplessness and rage over the most destructive parts of hip hop culture helping to create such carnage. F***!
just say you hate Asian ppl and keep it movin s*** so unnecessary
also what would a white kid get out of a thread about a dude having to watch his grandparents burn to death because of gang s*** anyways
He wanted to make a point so bad
Imagine lecturing the guy whose family got executed on livestream about the content of his art.

The art doesn't come first. People are subjected to a condition and make art out of it. Rappers constantly talk about their music being a way out of that life. I can't even think of a street rapper who doesn't constantly talk about their dead friends. The consequences are laid bare in the music as well as the headlines.
Treating material conditions with consumer choice doesn't work. Doing Tipper Gore parental advisory s*** to protect the kids doesn't work. Exposing people to this music is a good thing. Should there be a wider context? Like the discourse we're having in this thread? Sure. Insulating communities and cultures is how you breed bigotry.
