I feel like A Boogie got the more Juice WRLD vibe, which can be more poppy as opposed to Pop who would’nt be considered poppy, if you get what I mean
Pop was very poppy. His biggest track is essentially an r&b pop hit. That’s what makes him great. Men like him, women love him.
Y'all say any nigga that died was next biggest thing. Nipsey was next up too despite making music since I was in middle school.

I never said this about nipsey. X probably was going to be huge but I never found him that special. Same for juice
I don’t think we have ever seen an era when the entire next class of leaders have been taken out.
King Von, Juice, XXX and Pop.
Obviously I got love for Mac and Nip but they weren’t “new school.”
The only thing that comes close is loosing big, pac and big l.

Yeah I always thought people reacted to his death like he was an X or Juice Wrld artist
he had a great and long career so no disrespect but he wasn't going to be a superstar. It made people check his stuff out and appreciate it tho so
mac miller
He had enough of an output in the 2010s. Pop was barely starting out. Massive loss

mac was just beginning to drop his best music ever
Man Chicago had a crazy lineup. It’s so sad we lost a few guys.
La’capone
King Von
Juice world
Durk
G Herbo
Imagine all the great music we are missing. They would have all collaborated like crazy.
He was gonna be a star
DRAKE LEVEL
he was everything mainstream hip hop was missing packed into one artist. He could have bridged the gap between that old school and new school s***. Amazing voice, beats that knock, Typa s*** you couldn’t resist moving to. So much energy, Effortless swagger, none of that forced s***. He really restored the feeling
I miss him
I think the same could be said for Juice Wrld but Pop was great to. The real test is if an artist can evolve and adapt with the times and we never got to see that for either
we're going to be talking about "what could have been" for years. Remember Drake is only Drake level because he is constantly evolving as an artist
Man NY hip hop sucks right now. I honestly don’t get how they don’t have a clear leader. So many people are from NY.

Pop absolutely had superstar appeal. More so than X and juice, who really appealed mainly to the teen crowd

I can’t disagree. We don’t REALLY know. I’m only going off of what his trajectory was looking like

Most ny drill rappers don’t care to being like pop or tryna be a star/mainstream
They jus wanna make opp sliding music and do they dances
I really feel like A Boogie has already peaked talent and popularity wise. If you really haven't listened to Pop you really should check out the posthumous album, I think it's a good place to start cause lot's of the songs were hits last summer so it's easier to get into imo
I will, I got homies who big on dude but I usually dont like to start listening to an artist after they pass. I still feel like A Boogie can go a lil further tho, he just need another hit
You’re right. I can’t think of anyone else. Bobby fumbled the bag by not releasing any new music.
We’re officially in the Chicago era of hip hop now. Durk and G herbo got the game on lock.
True. Chicago finally reaching the levels of success they should have been at. Keef wasnt ready at the time maturity wise and Durk hadn't reached this level of music yet. Plus all the dudes with star potential kept dying or doing dumb s*** like Rondo and Cdai. I just hope Durk and Polo stay the f*** out the city so they avoid the bullshit. Herbo already almost got caught up before
