Everestyeah i have no idea what went on with the second one. the first is one my most played and replayed things in recent years and the second bounced right off me
@sentient_sherm_bag i briefly thought initially but then i spun it the other day (and always kept playing it) and it lowkey flowed so crazy
i know in the interviews they mentioned not really using the leftovers from the initial sessions and running up more sessions, but i may be mistaken
i think the production is a bit less varied so it maybe doesn't have the same range but i love it still

This s*** is trash and not even in a polarizing interesting way like they might like to think, based on the fact they introduced the project by saying people wouldn’t like it and responding to criticism of a project that hadn’t released yet
They both lowkey ran their 2018-2020 style into the ground too much and this sound is just not enough of a change, it’s same s*** different beats. 808 and hi hat go brrrr. They waited too long to even do this because to me, this sound is dated already. But maybe I’m underestimating the surf gang audience there
