In terms of Earl, I understand people liking this but I dont see how anyone can think this is elite, world class music, like how some of his other music is.

Like this ranges from above average to below average and can see how people can like it more than that

I think Mikes songs are really good though. Much much better peformances than Earl.

wish i could lock into what earls doing on these. hopefully the full album is what clicks for me. i loved making the band, mikes pinball projects are some of my most played of the decade, loving mikes side of this. but the earl stuff is hard for me to get my arms around atm i can read the praise for it and not be confused, get the praise, understand the artistry but it isn't clicking into place yet

Yeah I think Earl is taking a weird approach with these that doesn’t work for him but he obviously likes it. It wouldn’t be as bad if he got Lucki or Veeze on a couple with him but by himself it’s extremely lackluster imo.

I pray we get some other vibes from him on here I even liked that Again track that leaked.

I also talked about this with some real full spectrum Earl fans this weekend and they felt the same

His last 3 albums were just very tame production wise imo and felt like autopilot raps, his voice fits very well over this type production though and it’s something ‘new’ for him

Minty still the best song, but tbh there’s no misses on this yet. Honestly most excited I’ve been for an album release in more than a year.

Not that familiar with MIKE’s discog what’s the best s*** to get into?

Leadbelly prob the best single imo

I always say start at War In My Pen or Tears of Joy

or try Burning Desire and Showbiz then work your way backwards if you like them, as those are still his best albums imo

but his entire discography ranges from very good to like… genre-progressing lol

Beware of the Monkey, Burning Desire, Showbiz

If you f*** with those then check out his earlier projects like Disco!, Weight of the World, and Tears of Joy

His discography is phenomenal so you can’t go wrong tbh. But his recent run has been something special , so I’d recommend checking out the 3 albums I recommended first
