earl has a pattern of controversial lead singles tbh it's very intentional with him, a lot of people did NOT f*** with nowhere2go when it first dropped. i think he does it on purpose as a palette cleanser

nowhere2go was so disorienting on first listen, ended up being one of the most played songs for me
