I NEED to know what happened between scavio and winds and waves. What happened in the studio to cause such a drastic improvement in level of detail. Its not the hardware, its not the amount of time they had (scavio was 4 years after SwSh), something must have changed internally.
Im sure the overwhelming (and deserved) backlash towards scavio on release played a part, never saw Nintendo apologizing for one of their games before thatTime between each gen is usually 3 but a couple have been 4 years
Gen 9 to Gen 10 is 5 YEARS
That extra 2 years definitely helps give these Gamefreak bums extra time to make the game actually look good and not so bland
Also an actual competent studio (Monolith Soft) probably helping them

the lead designers and lead producers of 3d Mario weren’t on DK Bananza, they let the young people take over that game. Koizumi and Hayashida haven’t just been doing nothing all these years dude

It's going to be Zelda. The ocarina of time remake is like one of the worst kept secrets. Could also be a remake of the very first game or another top down game. I think Mario game will be next year.

3d mario director hasnt been working on bananza since 2020 tho, and historically all 3d mario titles released within the first 2 years of a new nintendo console generation
