I quit Legends ZA DLC to play Pokémon Rescue Team DX. This game is so addictive

just beat Legends ZA.

this is the first modern Pokemon game that I’ve loved since Pokemon X & Y, and how ironic that it takes place in the same region of Lumiose. the gameplay loop was extremely addicting, with the battle system being super fun to master. I also didn’t mind how confined the game was. I’ve played way too many open world games lately, and this was a breath of fresh air. the characters in this game also are some of my favorite in the franchise, and were full of personality and wit. it truly is a shame though that the series still doesn’t utilize voice acting, as it would amplify a lot of the cutscenes and bring more weight to the emotional scenes. my only flaw was that the story kind of became a bit convoluted with the different teams intermingling towards the end, and I feel it could have focused on just a handful. overall, I had a blast with this game and I can’t wait to see what gen ten has in store later this year.

Platinum is essentially in contention for the best pokemon game ever made. It really just depends who you're talking to.

Platinum is peak but any other game directly associated with gen 4 (not legend Arceus) isn't actually good

I don't know how different it would be from the newer games but i usually only play rom hacks from the first two regions so it was good to play a more modern gen

Somehow in most Pokemon playthroughs I've had, Golduck ends up being a mainstay in my teams Old faithful fr, just a solid all rounder

Why though?

Usually ends up being one of my best water types and gives my team psychic moves without relying on Kabadra or something which has putrid Defence

I don't think I've ever used one. I definitely have many water and psychic types I'd pick first

Definitely a unique mainstay compared to garchomp being in damn near every team I've ever had lol

Yeah I played Gen 1-3 multiple times, HG once, Black 2 once, currently playing Platinum for the first time

Never used one thinking of playing a gen 3 kanto rom hack next and using a team I've not used before

Golduck can also learn the most HM attacks
