TPCi probably has the data from the 3DS games and see that they didn't really sell. They can just sell us back the pokemon through the DLC updates and cash grab remakes. I also don't think people understand that those old games wasn't just ports. They had to go in and reprogram the games to work wirelessly and they fixed game breaking bugs from the cartridge. People who do rom hacks would tell you how it's not easy to change the game trading functions.
