Hopefully the new gimick doesn't break competitive. Changing type whenever you want to whatever type you want could be the most broken mechanic yet
If there is one thing the franchise doesn’t really need Its voice acting. It wouldn’t improve the game in any way
Nah it's still hilarious that they'll have characters with expressive movements and moving mouth flaps but no voice Acting. I don't think it would improve it, but it wouldn't hurt it either.
Game looks ok and it’s probably what Pokemon fans wanted but im out. I couldn’t bring myself to finish Brilliant Diamond
It's what CASUAL fans want. The fans that could actually make noise are like "meh" because they play competitive. It'll take competitive being a dumpster fire like the original S/S competitive for changes to happen.

Most likely it'll be banned like dynamax was. Unless you mean just regular online battles. Honestly it doesn't seem as broken as Dynamax. All it does is change a Pokemon type and increase that type move. We do t know the multiplier for it yet.
Lots of people are interpreting the “stronger” gym leaders as meaning set levels so I think it’s possible the leaker also made that interpretation
It literally says on here. I have no clue why you constantly cape for this stuff lmao
"There is no set path to the Gyms. You can purposefully seek out a stronger Gym Leader, or you can simply stop by a Gym that happens to be located in a town you came across on your journey. This time, you get to plot your very own path along Victory Road."
The leaker that was literally playing the game said there is no level scaling. We already know what it means.

Yah Smogon will ban it but I mean the equivalent of BSS singles. Dynamax wasn't that bad cause it's somewhat predictable, but will you be able to know what type the other pokemon will turn to before they change?
Idk man. The leaker confirmed there’s no level scaling. The more I think about it it’s not a big deal but it does go against stuff they’ve already established
The leaker absolutely confirmed it's no leveling Scaling. Maxxing for some reason always take up for Game Freak. Why I have no clue. It also says on the website what it's about.

Nintendo fans in general do this. They will defend the company no matter what

It doesn’t say anything about levels a******
Stronger gym leaders could have
-more Pokémon
-better stats
-later evos
-better Tera forms
-more items

Nah with the right Pokemon Dynamax was absolutely broken and annoying. Increased stats and addition effects to attacking moves like causing a weather condition.
There's no way for an opponent to know what type it'll change too, but this doesn't seem all that broken. Like it doesn't add a type, just changes their type to a single typing. Like someone used Gardevoir as an example. You could change Gardevoir to a water type, but what benefits do you get from that if it doesn't have water attacks.
All GF did was remove hidden power and make it a gimmick. It might work on Pokemon like say samurott that's water type, but learn fighting moves. This gimmick seems hella situational.

I’m not defending anything lol I just had a different interpretation…

It clearly say you can seek out the stronger gyms or just settle for what's in front of you. You're trying to play mental gymnastics. Try it with someone else.
does transferring from pokemon home to a game count as trading? i.e. will the pokemon i transfer not obey me?

It clearly says stronger, stronger could mean different things. Sorry you have low reading comprehension
Also I think I’d prefer it without level scaling, so it’s not a defense of game freak that I think there might be level scaling, dumbass

No, you're trying to play mental gymnastics when we definitely know what it means. It absolutely doesn't mean anything you stated. Besides the leaker already said this is the case.
Let's not fan boy over this and call a spade a spade.
lol that's absolutely a defense of Game Freak lmao

He's been coming in here for months being a contrarian and being flat out wrong. Like when he said Pokemon was never about collecting Pokemon lmao
I've ignored him for a bit, but it's becoming annoying now.

But you can throw out a Salamance and change it to a fire type to avoid a ice shard and use fire blast or something.
I remember using Mega evolution to change Charizard to X form to avoid an electric attack. Now every Pokemon can do that to any type? I really don't have faith in this

But you also have to hold a specific item to activate the crystalization. That's why I don't believe it'll be broken. So imagine having salamence hold that item just to change to a fire type and get blown back from entry hazards or the commonly used water type.
The difference between this and mega evolution is that mega evolution would give you a brand new Pokemon that could also change up the Pokemon completely such as stats, typing, and possibly changing an attack. Crystalization doesn't really change the Pokemon just change the type and maybe give a multiplier to a stab attack.
Man am I the only one who doesn’t like the aesthetic/proportion design of the new characters? They look great but I feel like they just seem out of place for a pkmn game and the in-game shots just look weird to me
Thought when we saw Red on that snowy mountain, it was gonna be a gen 1 remake in the Arceus engine but nope it’s Pokémon Masters lmao
I realized I completely forgot that I didn’t finish shining pearl
should probably go and wrap that up
