Am I just remembering things wrong or does the pre release footage of Sword and Shield Era, when they showed behind the scenes at the game studio developing the artwork for Sword and Shield, they had drawings of fountains and city buildings and I could’ve sworn from watching the new trailer one of the places with the house with the water fountain was from that 2018 video. May be crazy, but it’s also possible they used leftover ideas from SWSH in Gen 9

I was hoping this was gonna be a Latin America Caribbean region which would’ve made more sense for croc and imo would be more ideas to come up and could use temples volcanos jungles beaches and mountains

Yeah, because tbh the present wasn't going to have what people expected. They wanted full on DLC for Arceus or BDSP. They didn't really show much. Scarlet and Violet seem to have been tacted on late because according to sources they were originally going to announce the games in April or May similar to Gen 7.

It's open world because it'll be like a traditional Pokemon game with Arceus gameplay. You won't be going to a hub world to go to another area of the game.
