Nah FRLG aren't nearly perfect games. No way they're close to a 10. I find myself going back to Pokemon Red and Blue or Yellow more than FRLG. FRLG has a ton of problems. imo its really only three 9/10s in Pokemon and thats Platinum, HGSS, and B2W2. FRLG is like a 7/10, in no way are they on par with those three games. Three games are technical marvels for Game Freak. Platinum showed of the DS 3D features, HGSS cramed so much content into one cart, and B2W2 took the DS to it's max limits.

I can generally understand his dislike for Gen 3. Gen 3 was the longest generation by far and dragged on way to long. The anime portion of Gen 3 is or was the longest until the BW saga. Then besides emerald the rest of the Gen 3 games were pretty barebones. Colosseum and Gale of Darkness are dope hold over games with their own issues. When Gen 4 hit it was like a breath of fresh air.

None tbh. If anything is close to a 10/10 it's platinum. HGSS still has terrible pre-elite four level curve with no way to really grind fast besides wait for battle calls. B2W2 story took a massive step back from the first game and is kind of meh if it wasn't for the massive amount of extra content I think people would have this game way lower.

Platinum is the only game to really build on top of it's base game and make everything better. Kind of flawlessly imo. The story was more rich in lore, the region looks amazing with the new snowy patches all over showing how it's colder in Sinnoh, they fixed the lack of fire types, the speed of the game increased dramatically, the GTS was fire back in the day with all the extra games you could play online, looker and Charon were great additions, the upgraded battle Frontier returned, the form changes for platinum were much needed upgrades instead of broken boss monsters(looking at you Mega Rayquaza), all the legendary Pokemon from different regions, Gen 4 has probably the BEST tie-in with the new Gen game and the remake. No generation featuring a remake has a connection like Gen 4 and Gen 2. Gen 6 was awful with how it cut off XY from ORAS. Platinum is damn near a perfect game. That's why a lot of people were upset BDSP didn't build off platinum.

Nah I don't hate Mega Rayquaza. It's cool af, but we can't lie and say it didn't break the games along with Necrozma true form. Both are so broken they have their own tier lol. Neither form was needed and wasn't a good transition like how Giratina Orgin form was dope, but didn't straight up outclass the base Giratina form and wasn't broken, Shaymin Sky form was a nice upgrade to Shaymin. They didn't break the games is what I'm trying to say lol

Mystery Dungeon Red/Blue, Explorer of Sky, and Super Mystery dungeon are all fire.

Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire is basically emerald remake minus the battle Frontier. There is even a special Delta emerald episode for post game based around Rayquaza and Deoxys. Enhanced games never get a standalone remake. It's always incorporated into a remake. I.E. HGSS having crystal features and ORAS having emerald features. BDSP loosely has platinum features.

As far as I know it's no more DLC, but it is planned patches to add in unfinished content. So we'll probably get Arceus flute and probably some other stuff after the GTS patch

Hmm, sounds promising but I wont get my hopes up. Its still very nice to have actual events and special locations back for legendary encounters. Thats been a huge loss for me
