Emerald got a remake. The only thing missing in ORAS from Emerald was Juan and the Battle Frontier. They even mixed emeralds outfits into the designs of the characters in ORAS. They pretty much put everything introduced in emerald into ORAS albeit it wasn't done really well. ORAS is just a souless cash grab and experiment for the current Pokemon philosophy we got today.

Game Freak is making legends and I doubt they'll ever sell their half of the Pokemon license. It would be company suicide, because they suck at making anything else. They just need to fire the current Game director and reshape their philosophy. That's it. Until then be prepared to get meh products for the remainder of the future. Right now people keep buying the games so it's making Ohmori(current game director) look like a genius.
