I never said anything about graphics. I said gameplay. People blindly buy Pokemon because of course they want that itch to scratch. I have continously told people for the last 3 generations to proceed with caution when it comes to Pokemon due to GF's quality in the games dropping ever since the move to 3D.

Legends can look pretty all it wants, but if it's just a bunch of fetch quests and catching pokemon with no real substance besides looking like a side game vs the game that supposedly start the trend of the next few main series games it's going to probably become a problem. If it comes out that the game is half-baked, it's no way it's going to repeat Sw/Sh sales. Gen 8 already left a bad taste in people mouths.

Sw/Sh already started to show the cracks. It's reason why we don't get how many players are still playing Pokemon games post-launch.

Absolutely nothing. People are just upset the overworld isn't in SW/SH bland style. They even have features that wasn't in the original games like following Pokemon and being able to wear different costumes outside of tournaments.

We still don't know if Megas are in the game. Nobody wanted Dynamaxing back though. We didn't learn if Megas was in LGPE until close to launch.

Honestly because the last 3 gens have really exposed just how ass Pokemon has become that is exactly why I am looking forward to the Gen 4 remakes and have no problem if the game is 99% the same as the OG.

It's most definitely a bias because that's my favorite gen, but Gen 4 and Gen 5 are the last Pokemon games I truly enjoyed. Everything after that has been gimmicky bullshit and not fun because they hold your hand way too much and made them extremely easy.

Same here. BDSP looks great to me. I'm not sure what people expected besides the overworld not being full 3D. I actually been praying GF go back to a 2.5D game style. It's where they were at their best. Gen 4 is my favorite Gen also, but I would not have had an issue to say the games looked like s*** of they did.

My only hope is that the Platinum/Giratina content is in the game and that you can reuse TMs. HMs are probably gonna return and function how they did in the OG Gen 4. I'll tolerate that if TMs can be reused like in Gen V onward. That might've been the most useful QoL addition Game Freak has ever made.

the difference between Legends footage from late February compared to now = less than 5 months

the time left to develop/polish the game = 5 months

i think we will be alright, definifely need a full on story trailer and show off some dungeons or story events that take place in various biomes but i expect that in the next update this fall

It did show more features and somewhat more stable FPS perhaps but visually it didn't look like much of an upgrade to my eyes. Still looks rough.

Legends looks cool as f***, I haven’t looked forward to a Pokemon game since X and Y until this one

Just a really minor nitpick but I kind of wish they went all in on the watercolor aesthetic, you see hints of it with the design of Mt Coronet and the grass being shaped like sharp brushstrokes but then the trees and people just feel like plain 3D models

Only thing is this comes out a day after Elden Ring I won’t have time for both games

Sinnoh HMs were such a b**** you needed like every single HM to reach the top of Mt Coronet
