Y’all may not be hyped for Legends but I sure af am

Legends may not end up the true open world Pokémon game we want, but the fact Gamefreak isn’t being lazy and trying something new is at least a step in the right direction

And I fully support that

I’m interested as well. It’s the most intriguing thing they done in years. I been tired of the same old safe formula for Pokémon games. This looks like a step towards the type of Pokémon game I’ve always wanted to play. Now, we are talking about Game Freak so I’m not expecting the game to have everything I want but it is surely an interesting new direction that I would like to know more about.

It's not that people aren't hyped. They had glaring technical issues. Like the 1fps Chingling or the stuttery movements when rolling. Then the game looked barren, if the only thing to do is catching Pokemon and doing boring fetch quests, then I can see it easily bombing. Gamefreak isn't good at making 3D games.

i wanna believe that video was captured months ago with many unfinished features turned off

but u right, game could release in piss poor format and GF could be like "this is our first time please bare with us" but we really cant accept that s*** when Monolith and other 3D Nintendo studios with AAA budgets and devs are open for collaboration

I hope they involve monolith in legends, they make some of the best open worlds

even having Nintendo EPD isnt enough (they worked on Sw/Sh as well) so a company like Monolith Soft would be best suited for the job

Monolith helped making botw's hyrule so having them would only do good for gamefreak and legends

yeah and Xenoblade worlds are just as cool

why even let GF do it lmao its such a risk

I havent played it but ive seen xenoblade chronicles x world and it looked insane, monolith is just too good

Yeah that's why I'm giving both games the benefit of doubt. It's no telling how far along the games was during those trailers. Devs usually showcase Alpha or early betas unless the game is close to completion. GF always puts a notification that the game may differ from the final product at the bottom.

Sadly it looks like it's a solo project with Creatures doing the modeling again. I'm sad because GF recently moved into the new Nintendo HQ with the other Dev companies.

Its a bland remake of the very first MD but besides that, its fine. Especially if you enjoy MD in general.

I personally feel the 2d look was better than the style they went for in the remake, but aside that, everything else is pretty much the same.

I do wish they implemented more quality of life things tho.

4th generation was easily the best I’ve ever played. The legends were also by far the most interesting out of every gen. Kind of want to buy a switch just to experience the story.

It's a fun time waster. Nothing more and nothing less.
