This actually ISN'T the reason lol. The decision to not include all the Pokemon was done before Pokemon Home was a concept. In SHSW beta, Greninja and a few other Pokemon that currently aren't in the game were programmed into the games, but the rest of the 800+ Pokemon wasn't. They removed Greninja and the other Pokemon used for testing purposes before the final game was done. They did remove the Pokemon so they could sell them back to us.

The intentionally made a DLC that's $30 that has version exclusives so if you don't have friends you have to buy each version to get them. That's like $180. Pokemon home is just an upgraded/worst version of Pokemon Bank. Pokemon Bank was used in a similar way to connect older games with the newer ones (I.e. Gen 4/5 to XY/ORAS/SuMo). Home was also was just used to sell back to us the GTS. That's also a scummy move.

Gen 6 starters aren't in the game either

This is actually correct. Not every Pokemon is programmed into SWSH. It's still just a little over half the Pokemon left that's not in Gen 8. This include Gen 2, Gen 4, and Gen 6 starters.

I didnt know it but dlc added some pokemon that were left too. Scummy as hell, f*** gamefreak and pokemon company, aint supporting their ass until i get a product that's worth my money

Yeah, the DLC added quite a few Pokemon. It's still a chunk missing. It's also version exclusives for the DLC. The Crown Tundra added a way to get the version exclusive legendaries but it's completely RNG base and depends on who is in your party AND can take as long as 30mins smh. GF really was out here trying to finesse people

Also the two game system is outdated. They would probably be able to do more of it was just one singular game.

I bet you have to buy Let’s Go Johto and DP remakes to transfer Pokémon from there to complete the SW/SH Dex

Also speaking of hack roms, ruby destiny 3 is probably one of the best and could blow away the main series game. Fantastic soundtrack choice that took a lot from zelda and megaman, 4th-5th gen with original voices and a much more gloomy story with multiple finals. High difficulty too.
I think anyone should play it at least once.

Yep, that's one of the best rom hacks oat, i have so many memories playing pokemon adventures red chapter, i honestly prefer it to the past 2/3 gens

Its so cool to see just how many amazing hack roms there are, i went through that phase and i loved every game ive played. Pokemon light platinum has to be one of my favorites, introduced me to hack roms, it was life changing seeing gen 4 and 5 pokemon on a gba pokemon game

Wasted potential. They abandoned X/Y way to fast. So many events that were cut and it really needed that enhanced version.

It's an ok playthrough the story and villain team are probably the worst in the series. Gen 6 and Gen 8 probably has the worst storytelling in the franchise. Ironically both introduce a major battle concept like Mega evolution and Gigantimaxing

They don't do event pokemon at all anymore. They stopped in Gen V. Gen 6 had events that went unused because they abandoned Gen 6 and just decided to just hand out Valcanion and scrapped the Eternal Floette Pokemon and event.

There new announcement is gonna be s***ty watch lol. I’m kinda hoping it might be announcing Pokémon Snap 64 release on switch or gen 4 but who knows
For a company that likes money I don’t see why they just don’t release past Pokémon games on the switch.
The can emulate a 64 & a GameCube on the switch. And uploading GB games can’t be that hard.
