Don't wanna update yet cuz I use the exploit to collect Luxury Balls from the guys then sell it for postive money at the market to buy stat medicines for competitive. Might have to do a big reup before updating

True, but they been doing this since the 3rd gen. Instead of digitally it was physically, & I've read (havent confirmed tho) that they aren't doing 3rd versions anymore, but just DLC now. Which I'm happy with.

Its a better option & path imo, but overall Pokemon has always cut their content since 3rd & arguably 2nd gen & sold them at a full premium.

They've always been greedy to an extent imo. Rather have it this way If it's a choice between the two, but to me its nothing new.

Post content wasn't a big standard thing till gen 5 imo, while the more interesting & flushed out events were always in the 3rd version that they had set up in the original releases.

I agree it's s***ty, but I personally always thought the practice in general was s***ty. So to me its not a big deal & actually a better alternative imo.

Cutting content up to encourage interaction between players & to net more money has always been their MO ever since Shigeru suggested it to them with the OGs (the Mario creator is the one that suggested the idea to create seperate versions with exclusive Pokemon).

I'm just glad that the additional Pokemon old & brand new can still be given to players that don't have the DLC tho, if that was impossible with no way to get them then I would be more mad. It would create a split like the Sun/Moon generation with the Ultra re-releases (the only entire Pokemon gen I skipped out on).

Saw this on Twitter and this another reason why Game Freak is doing things wrong:

Gen 7:
$40 for SM
$40 for USUM
$5/Yr for Bank

Gen 8:
$60 for SwSh
$30 for SwSh Expansion Pass
$20/Yr for Nintendo Online
Whatever Home ends up costing

And SwSh have LESS content than USUM. Less postgame (we'll see how much content the DLCs have) and less Pokemon.

This is like if you had to pay for the sevii island or delta episode

Plus the new areas ain't gonna be s***. All the areas in the game are shallow af and take 10 minutes to get through unless you're running into every wild encounter possible.

same team was forced to pump out lets go and then a year later that were expected to put out a revolutionary franchise defining game. they literally didn't have enough time or resources to remodel every pokemon.

Also, Game Freak is a bad developer anyway. They always have been but they get away with it because the gameplay of Pokémon is so dang fun.
