QUEUEMILLERall depends how big into pokemon u are. you could also play the yellow remakes on switch, and when pokemon home comes out in a few months youll be able to transfer those Go mons over. this game alone isnt worth a switch imo but pokemon as a whole isnt a bad reason to get a switch
Home only allow you to transfer pokemoon in the dex to SWSH. You can already transfer Pokemon from Ho to let's Go

Dog MaskMaybe this is the right thread to ask: is this game worth getting a Switch for? I never got into Pokemon further than the Gold/Silver generation, did play a lot of Go for a while.. the idea of a 3D one is really appealing but the world looks a bit dry (compared to a game like BoTW for example) and new Pokemon always look a bit weird.
This game is fun but I’d say it’s not worth getting a Switch for. A Switch is worth getting though, so many great games.

The online servers aren’t gonna let someone trade that yet. They tightened it up so you have to trade on a lan server or locally.

Hmmm, not sure but I know I bought quick balls after I beat the first 3 gyms. Then I rebought them before the 7th gym. The only useful thing that you don’t get until you beat the champion is fog from my understanding and some Pokémon can only be caught in fog.

You can still trade
You can trade normal things but the hidden abilities for starters aren't available yet. So if someone uses pkhex and makes starters with hidden abilities the server doesn't let them trade.
Same goes for shiny legendaries and things like that.
