Has anyone begun collecting again due to the rise in popularity lately?
Don't think I've seen it this hyped since I collected when I was 8.
Stated buying again to open with my nephew, has been nothing but fun.
No
Seems like a fun hobby though if you have the disposable income

Yeah haven't got crazy with it like I've seen on reddit, more a treat for the kid!
No. I collect Yu-Gi-Oh cards, but don't play. I attempted to start collecting Pokemon, but Pokemon cards are incredibly expensive for older sets vs Yu-Gi-Oh. Where as a original first edition card from the Legend of Blues set can be saved up for(except Blue eyes white dragon) it's damn near impossible to save up for a shadowless Charizard from base set that range from $2000 to $100,000. Majority of the shadowless cards from base set cost over 100s of dollars. It's probably fun to play with the newer card, but even some of those are expensive.
i have been collecting again and have a Nike shoebox full of normal rares, reverse holo rares, and holo rares
i was playing online for a while two summers ago and was seriously considering hitting a tournament
Never liked playing the actual card game
Yugioh is pretty fun to play competitively tho

Should do it.
Wait why is it popping again?
Yeah massively popular again. Seeing Reddit posts of hundreds of parents queuing to buy out stock
All because of Paul Logan tbh. But luckily all the Pokémon channels that were up before him have nicely gotten a s*** ton more views. It's kinds worked out better for all
great game
when i was a young little nerd i even did a tournament once
lots of fun but as aan adult its very expensive and no one wants to play with you and i'd get roasted for even bringing it up as an idea

they're actually really similar but yu-gi-oh is prob a bit better balanced and the way life is set up in pokemon it kinda contributes to helping roll an opponent

Ummmm not really. Elite Trainer Boxes have always stayed the same price tbh. Hidden Fates & Champions Path are the packs that are the most expensive and hard to come by.
Those are the ones people try to sell on for more.
There a Hidden Fates ETB reprint releasing in January I'm trying to get badly

Coooooooor
I had it when I was a kid, but my mum threw all my cards away years ago 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Badly want the Rainbow Charizard in the Champions Path packs

Sounds dope. Just read about Walgreens mystery packs. Ima hit my local stores today and buy some cards.
Any other packs you recommend? Should I go for tins or booster packs?
Boutta whip out my GoPro I just got and start a YouTube channel
