    Smells like broke

  • Jul 28, 2020

    OP I understand your frustration.
There’s been times where I waited 45 mins (45 delivery time as in my dude left the restaurant with my food and came 45 minutes later) although I live like 5-10 mins away. My food would be cold as f*** too.

    Can’t blame the restaurant
Can’t really blame the driver either if the app is giving them more than one order

I know there’s a few drivers that want to fight me 😂

"They signed up for that not my problem"

You ever think maybe they signed up because they have little other choices? This isn't a glamorous job that people dream of doing. People do it because they have no other ways to make money.

People who don't have much skills/opportunity are giving you a service and making $2 depending on your tip to pay their bills and you disrespect them. You're a s***head and karma will come around to you tbh. I've noticed in the past when I did serving the broke stuck up people always don't tip, and it's always the people who clearly can barely afford to be at restaurants to begin with.

Wait ur upset that people that can barely afford the meal itself dont tip ?

Yes, wtf. If you can barely afford the meal why are you at a restaurant to begin with???

If your bank account is low why are you spending $30 on food when you could be saving money cooking at home or buying fast food.

Then on top of that, you leave the workers giving you the meal in a s***ty situation with no tip. It is irresponsible altogether.

You're literally a dumbass. Signing paperwork doesn't mean that they live some glamorous life and just chose to work there.

People do it because they most likely have low education/skills/experience and have no other job opportunities. You think people WANT to make $2 and serve s***ty ass people like you who think adding an extra $3 to a $40 bill is ridiculous?

Working jobs like that is because people need to pay their bills and survive. If $3 is such a hurting to your pocket you probably shouldn't be at the restaurant to begin with.

“literally a dumbass” people also don’t wanna work at McDonald’s where food is served, employees are treated like s*** and tips aren’t given. People don’t wanna work at Walmart where employees are treated like s*** and often have to go out of their way for customers too lazy to find things themselves, and tips still aren’t given.

People sign up to be servers because the know of the upside of doing it. Stop playing stupid. Who would come in and sign up for a $2-3/hr job? Servers tend to make good money until they have an off night, which is a risk they took knowingly. I know people personally who have worked at restaurants for years WORKING their way up for the opportunity to become servers because they know it’s one of the highest paid positions

As for your question, no I don’t think adding extra $ to my bill is ridiculous, but you and every other d*** sucker over here needs to acknowledge the FACT that tipping is optional, so if I choose not to do it I am NOT a piece of s***, NOR am I the devil. My $2-3 can be used in much better places than providing to a server some money that they’re gonna short the rest of their workers (Busboys, cooks, greeters etc) out on anyway

Why would you go on Uber Eats, or any food delivery, if you can barely afford to?

we also pay our service workers under minimum wage so that owners can pass additional costs onto consumers.

McDonalds, Walmart, and Serving are all jobs that require little experience/no education/no special skills.

'Good money' is objective, and at a place like iHop/Waffle House/etc for example during a normal non-busy day they probably make $8-$12 an hour serving. That is not much more than minimum wage. At high class restaurants you see servers that make big money lots of days, but that is not where majority of servers work.

When someone is averaging $10 an hour, that $3 does make a notable difference. Much more if they have to deal with multiple s***ty customers back to back who have similar beliefs to you.

Busboys/hosts/etc who are not paid minimum wage also depend on those tips being split. So yes, you brought up why you sound like even more of a d***head -- various people in the restaurant depend on those few dollars, not just one person.

Anyone who doesn't get tips makes a normal hourly wage and thus they still get paid a decent wage regardless.
