Subjectivity in music is overrated. Some opinions just aren’t that valid and are based on things outside the music itself. If there was real substance to Carti’s experimentation then you could defend it better than this
This is deeper than “it’s not for me”, I don’t think WLR is bad or have a problem with people liking it. But it’s the “innovative” “groundbreaking” “omg so punk” talk which is just flat out off base and comes from people who don’t know music like that

neither me or @2words said we didn’t like Carti’s music, we just don’t think it’s this Earth shattering groundbreaking music, like you and the other d***riders have been trying to paint it in this thread lol
you just sound like you’re insecure about your taste in music tbh, my taste is slanted to experimental/abstract hip-hop or boom bap old timer s***, that’s the style of hip-hop i prefer—it shouldn’t have any bearing on your enjoyment of the music
