Tbh I think go2themoon (and WLR generally) might very well be a deliberate move by Carti and Kanye to give a huge f*** you to the mainstream.

Think about it: the crazy punk/hyperpop influence, kanye and matt being announced by akademiks (who ended up on the album), the snippet of secular kanye and the hype compared to what we got in terms of content even.

Carti repping Opium/TwoNine Recording Group and having beef with his label might even mean Kanye bought Carti out of his contract...I mean, where the f*** is all that money going if the damn thing gets made in the span of a month anyways? Was the album even turned in when Carti said so and wtf did the label want him to do?
