16gsaid this before, but ive seen sooo much love from ppl who dont fw carti, which is very interesting, it definitely does seem to indicate that it was their expectations for hearing 2 year old leaks on an album that ended up being extremely fresh and innovative that turns them off, and once they turn around and pretend they enjoyed it from the start the love will be MASSIVE
yeah I was never a huge Carti fan prior to this personally, thought s/t was a dope vibe record with super nostalgic production, and that Die Lit had a few winners on it, but I didn't see him as some kind of legend in the making, so my expectations for this were kind of an open book.
He definitely impressed the hell out of me with like 20 out of the 24 tracks I'd say, and even though I fw most of the v1 leaks I've heard I can safely say this was the best possible move he could have made here - exceptionally interested to see where he goes next, whatever it ends up being
