Ok 2nd day and favorite tracks are narrowed and opinions starting to form, i went back and listened to some leaks

And I really think an album that was half cancuns, mollys, places and neons and the other half the more experimental (and best songs imo) like feel like dying, teen x, die4guy, sky, over would’ve been the best combination, and wouldve made this his best album easily bcus that wouldve been a true evolution from a post die lit world. Has that psychedelic and catchy carti aspect with more expirementation here and there, tighter flows, tigher concept bcus on day 2 i can definitely see the self indulgence of this project. Like songs like new tank or king vamp dnt need to exist. Cartis voice and flows are hypnotic and songs like “over” “sky” and “place” made me wish he utilized it more. And it makes sense now i think about. The closest song on Dl that is connected to this albums sound is RIP and that’s the only DL song i dnt have saved, meanwhile right now, long time are my most played. Don’t get me wrong i still appreciate the hard s*** but that sound shouldn’t have been the majority of where the albums sound was at

I dnt think this is better than ST or Self titled. ST is an 8.8 to me and DL is a 9

WLR v1 would have dropped december 2018 but scrapped, leaks didn't matter at all

pause on Place hasn't been fixed for over 2 years

whole album changed in the last week, all the Richie tracks, features were still on it (Tryna get down, money and d****, bags on me, etc.) but carti replaced them all with new stuff he recorded this month (most of the 1st half and all the f1lthy songs) after his yes men told him it's better. Richie had like up to 10 tracks on the album a week ago and Pi'erre had a lot more too
