WESLEYS THEORYI think the album is always gonna be looked at in a semi negative light by the general public the way Yeezus or Cherry Bomb is. But I think avid music listeners will appreciate it down the line and what he was trying to do. General public just wanted a regurgitated Die Lit and a generic Travis feature.

Cherry Bomb still called trash by some people and I loved it first listen
It’s not perfect (the title song is f***ing trash and I will die on that hill), but there’s a lot of good stuff and I think it was the first step in Tyler’s more mature/critically acclaimed work. You can hear elements of Flower Boy on it and Igor was way more like Cherry Bomb then Flower Boy.

looking at it back then uzi needed some f1lthy on ea and bit less brandon too
but it’s the vocal performance which does the huge quality gap between those two albums there

Thats where it started, then a bunch of other random bullshit happened, like seeing Carti hanging with Bloody Dior, who had shot Uno back in October 2016, and Carti supposedly snitching to the ASAP Mob about Uno and Fauni, and calling them “bitch niggas”
