difficult to make a carti top 5 tbh he has a lot of sounds
have you listened to any of his albums or the og wlr?
I really haven't heard s***. Like half of Die Lit and of course Magnolia. That's it.
First three listens:
1. Other than not having enough Pi'erre, pretty much 90% of the beats slap and/or are interesting in some way.
2. Possibly the most grating Kanye feature.
3. The evolution from baby voice to baby-vampire voice is kinda jarring and makes things a bit too corny. I think maybe because the mix-downs are a lot more clean it makes it seem even more staged.
4. I think a lot of this album will age really well, especially in a year or two when hopefully we can see it live. I don't think it'd be easy to keep up with the baby-vampire voice in a live setting so it'll probably bang even more.
5. I don't think there are any moments in this album which will go particularly viral on TikTok or whatever, but Carti's personality and cult following will still get him top numbers for this.
6. Some people are going into this with their expectations way too high. He's clearly evolved over the past couple years and innovated something new. It's literally art. Whether it's good or not is subjective, but it's worth going into this with a clean head and not thinking too much about whatever leaks.
6. Drop the deluxe with the leaks though.
And Internet nerds say DOOM ain't a legend
Just lol
funnily enough, the way a lot of this sounds and feels (specially the briefness of many tracks who dont overstay their welcome) reminds me a lot of madvillainy
im a virgin
