I mean it didn’t seem like they interfered until Die Lit (when they forced the Panic Drop) apparently they were pretty upset over the leaks in 2019 too so I’m assuming they got him more under a leash now. They just blocked his feature wit Yung Lean so they might be giving him the Uzi treatment

Lean literally said it was a label issue. Same s*** happened to Uzi all 2018-2019 he couldn’t get his featured cleared with small or even bigger artists

People had an early version of Die Lit, a bunch of songs started leaking that were slated to be on the album (at the beginning of the week). Then love hurts leaked which forced Carti to drop it hours after and when more leaked (like Shoota and Choppa Won’t Miss) they panic’d and dropped the album that Friday. It could have been slated to surprise release that week but it’s highly unlikely cause the people who had the early Die Lit had it for over a month before stuff started getting sold/leaked.

yeah it honestly could be both but I feel like the label speculation makes a lot of sense based on how meh and pain were received. carti was trending on twitter and IG just off people roasting the baby voice. not a big stretch to think the label saw that and made him go back to the drawing board

It’s such nasty s*** to speculate about but I can see touring & the insane pressure of following up die lit, then compounded with the leaks of some of his best s*** & then dealing with having a child with iggy azalea at his age is just weighing on him like crazy. Again I don’t wanna speculate or manifest anything but he’s obvi heavy in that lifestyle which can be super detrimental to creativity. Maybe it’s a reach but that could explain the disappointing feats lately too
