There’s a transgender girl at my job & we flirt back n forth from time to time

it’s all just playful s*** but tbh I’m comfortable with it because she’s pretty & very feminine so on surface it ain’t much different than doing it with any other female

The thing is, they're not saying or even trying to force you or anyone to HAVE to date or find a trans woman attractive. They just don't want to feel discriminated against because of their said trans-ness. Don't discard their humanity or worth.

It's not transphobic to not wanna personally date a woman that happens to be trans.

It's not transphobic if you don't wanna date a trans person due to genital preference (which is a real thing) and that's a case-by-case basis depending on the person you're talking to and that goes to a whooooole nother thing.

But it is let's say for example, you meet a trans woman who for all intents and purposes is post-op and looks fine and attractive to you personally, if after she tells you she's trans, if all that attraction that you once had to her automatically changes? That can be looked at as transphobic.

At the end of the day trans people just want to feel loved too and not feel persecuted or shamed or ridiculed for their choices.

I mean, you could potentially argue that peoples reasoning's for not wanting to be with a trans person are transphobic because of the misinformation pushed on to people about us, but thats a different conversation.

it honestly doesnt matter people on both sides of the argument are going to keep the same argument going regardless
